European style, kind and competent staff, quiet, safe, comfortable. Receptionist provides useful information about attractions and restaurants. Fresh and delicious breakfast with cooked eggs and local ingredients. Great location, walkable distance to Mirabell Palace, impressive soundproofing. Homely feel, tastefully decorated lounge and bar area. Helpful English-speaking receptionists. Quiet location near Mirabell Schloss and gardens, easily walkable to old town. Imlauer Sky bar and restaurant with fantastic views nearby.

We were really surprised by the charm and character of Hotel Markus Sittikus. The old-style decor and use of traditional keys added to the overall experience. The small backyard provided a peaceful spot to relax, and the bar on the main floor was a convenient place to enjoy a drink. The room was quite disappointing, it looked nothing like the pictures advertised. The toilet stank of urine, very off-putting.
